5TH RANGER INFANTRY BATTALION (RS) INC.
HEADQUARTERS and HEADQUARTERS COMPANY
EST. 1998 A 501 (C) 3 NON-PROFIT SOCIETY
HEADQUARTERS COMPANY:
HQ Company is the Original 5th Ranger Infantry Battalion Reenacting company. Founded in the late 1990's by group of Active Duty Army members at Fort Knox, Ky. The original organization started to reenact as Baker Company 5th Rangers but later changed the designation to Headquarters Company, looking for a unit that was over looked by much of history, and overshadowed by other units. The 5th Ranger Battalion has been credited with breaching the Atlantic Wall on Dog White Beach 6 June 1944, attacking and capturing German Forts on the Brest Peninsula, holding the Irsh-Zerf road 10 miles behind German lines in Germany waiting for the Armor to relieve them. These are just a few major battles that the 5th Rangers were involved in during WWII. This company reenacts this unit by the most authentic means possible. Headquarters Company is one of the premier companies in WWII reenacting. We are the original 5th Ranger Infantry Battalion (RS) Incorporated which is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit educational society. The goal is to accurately portray the WWII soldier and to educate the public.
